The third aspect of inclining yourself to hear God is discovering the common way by which He speaks to you. The general rule of divine communication in the New Testament is by Jesus Christ who is the substance of the Word (John 1:1-3, John 1:14). That means to master hearing God accurately, you must develop a taste for His Word. The Word is Him talking from a book to you and it is the means of determining the accuracy of the other ways you will hear Him. In addition to the Word, you will hear Him through the inner witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16, Acts 7:23, 1 Kings 19:12), the authoritative voice of the Spirit (Acts 13:2), the conscience (Romans 9:1) and spectacular means like dreams, trances or prophecies (Acts 11:5-7, Acts 11:27-28)
Father, I receive the ministry of the Spirit in these teachings to be established once and for all in my life concerning hearing You clearly in the name of Jesus.
