The Emancipator

INCLINATION TO HEARING GOD

SCRIPTUREKJV

The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Psalm 25:14

As discussed yesterday, like the tuning of a dial to a radio station's frequency, it takes inclining oneself to clearly hear Daddy's voice amidst the numerous distractions. The first aspect of the inclination is the conviction that you can hear Him. The moment you are in Christ, the Holy Spirit fellowships incessantly with you (2 Corinthians 13:14). This is why He said, "My sheep hear My voice" (John 10:27). No matter your state, believe that God is talking and you can hear Him. Secondly, develop personal reverence and love for Him. We know He loves us, but as beings of love, we must also passionately express ourselves (our love nature) to Him too (John 14:15, John 14:21; Psalm 63:1, Psalm 63:6). Reverence makes us value His Word above all, such that we are always ready to hear Him (Matthew 7:6, Isaiah 66:2). It is of no use to hear Him if we are unwilling to do or positively respond to what He says.

Prayer

Dear Daddy, Your voice is my most precious commodity in life. From now I believe I can and will hear You in everything in Jesus' Name.
