The EmancipatorNO MOURNING TODAY
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it
— Colossians 2:15
Many people who call today Good Friday are mourning. Why? That is rather a contradiction of tradition. Yes, it is the commemoration of, in fact, the best Friday in human history but if you do not understand, you will call it good and be mourning either for Jesus or your sins that do not exist anymore. It is Good Friday because Jesus Christ died with sin, evil and death. It is good because the arch enemies of humanity and the universe were abolished on the cross. By that death, authority over life and the universe changed hands. How? "[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross]."- Colossians 2:15
With all my heart I shout, "Gloraaay", because it is a day of celebration. Sin, evil, death and evil rulers were abolished. Hallelujah!
