HOW TO ENJOY YOUR SPOUSE

If you treat your spouse as you do a road under construction, you will learn to enjoy him or her. We are all God's roads under construction unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Now, if you are driving on a road under construction and you arrive at the portions with potholes, do you abandon the journey and describe the entire road as useless and unenjoyable? No. Do same to your beautiful wife or handsome husband. Learn to look away from whatever you may consider unpleasant, look at the real enjoyable person you married and focus on him or her in your thoughts and desire. Have moments of just desiring your spouse in his or her presence or absence. Love is a force of endearment. Engage it. Every spouse has something good in him or her to appreciate. Focus on those and enjoy them, and no matter how long it takes, the "potholes" will become smooth road.
