The Emancipator

TODAY'S AVERAGE CHRISTIAN VISION

SCRIPTUREKJV

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad

2 Corinthians 5:10

A general observation reveals that the average Christian vision today is one of, "I have received Christ therefore my sins are forgiven. Let me try my best to live as holy as I can, serve the Lord by winning souls or carry out a work of ministry and be faithful till I die or Jesus comes to take me away. Then I will face judgement and see whether I qualify to enter heaven and get some rewards or go to hell". I am yet to tell how it is with you, but this is the dominant drive of today's Christian living. It is a vision which has developed from many fundamental truths in scripture, but it requires a massive reconstruction. This reconstruction is strongly suggested because this is a Christian vision developed from a long western Christian heritage that missed a critical understanding of the Apostles of Jesus Christ and the first century Church.

Prayer

Dear Dad, I receive grace to deconstruct and reconstruct my Christian vision according to the truth of Your Word, in Jesus' Name.
