The EmancipatorHOW TO PRACTICALLY ENJOY WORK
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy
— 1 Timothy 6:17
To bring our discussion home and make it applicable for the enjoyment of life, here are the condensed steps:
(a) Become settled that you came here to steward the universe and Yahweh has provided everything you need to enjoy life (2 Peter 1:3).
(b) Through fellowship with the Holy Spirit, discover your in-Christ potential and identify the field in which you can use that potential for the good of your world. The experiences of people in the world and creation are full of pain, labour and travail (1 John 5:19, Romans 8:20-22). But there is something in you to be released into your home, community, nation and world to make it better as part of the universal restoration process of God. What you engage in for this reason is your work- Philippians 4:13.
(c) Advance in the Word to discover your true identity and heavenly sitting as a son of God in Christ and start stewarding creation (this is fulfilment of purpose) - Genesis 1:28, Romans 8:19-21.
Dear Father, I receive great insight into these practical steps and by intentionally applying them, I am reprogrammed to enjoy work in Jesus' Name.
