RE-DISCOVERING TRUE WORK

As revealed in our verse today, to enjoy the work of your hands is the desire of Yahweh for all. But that is hardly the case for most people on earth today. They are rather stressed, frustrated and full of complaints about their work. In the good life enjoyment series, we got to enjoying our work and have so far learnt the following: (a) we can enjoy our work irrespective of peculiar challenges, (b) we must enjoy our work in order to enjoy our overall lives, (c) enjoying work requires that we are truly working and not just labouring for a pay to survive.

This is the new discovery about work that we seek to emphasize. As we are now aware, much of the working world has been programmed into an enslaving Babylonian system of working to survive; yet true work is when we engage in something as a means of expressing our potential to make our world better, not solely for a pay to survive. Discovering this is simply revolutionary and requires thinking, planning and a gradual shift. This week, we will dive into the reprogramming of our entire work paradigm to enable us to realize true work and enjoyment; instead of laboring to survive.
