The Emancipator

THE EMBRACE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

SCRIPTUREKJV

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance

— Acts 2:4

Though the Holy Spirit was the one who carried out the regeneration of all mankind in Jesus Christ (Titus 3:5) and worked through the gospel to awaken us to the kingdom (John 16:8, John 3:5-6), usually our first conscious encounter with Him is in His warm embrace in our hearts after we awake to our being in Christ (Acts 19:2, Acts 8:14-17). Other synonyms that are used in the scriptures to describe this experience include: the coming upon (Acts 1:8, Acts 19:6), the falling upon (Acts 8:14-17, Acts 10:44), the receiving of the Spirit (Acts 8:14-17, Acts 19:2) and getting filled (Acts 2:4, Acts 4:31).

The goal of this embrace of the Holy Spirit is to awaken sons of God to the person, presence and power of the Holy Spirit. The joy and impact of this awakening is so impressive that it produces some remarkable results in your life. These include enablement to speak in the divine language (other tongues) - Acts 2:4, a positioning for the manifestation/gifts of the Holy Spirit - 1 Corinthians 12:7 which positions you for fullness of the Spirit - Ephesians 5:18-21.

✦Thanksgiving

Thank You, Daddy, for the embrace of the Spirit. Thank You that I speak in other tongues, operate in the gifts of the Spirit and I am always full of the Spirit.
