The EmancipatorYOU MUST HAVE A VISION
Where there is no vision, the people perish: But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
— Proverbs 29:18
One reason for discussing the issue of thinking or reflecting on our lives here especially in Christ is to help us develop a mental perception or picture and for that matter have a vision of our life in Christ. The root word from which, "vision" as used in our verse today came, is the Hebrew word, "châzâh" which means to gaze at, to perceive mentally or have a vision of something. It is also the word use for prophetic vision or revelation. Along the lines of our discussions this week, our verse is saying that, unless you have a vision of your life in Christ, your entire Christian experience will not amount to much in the sight of the Father. It does not mean that you will be "rejected" or "punished" for that. But that you will live and experience life far below who you are, what you are worth and what you can do in Christ. But no, you should be the best of you.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I chose to live and experience the best of me as ordained by Yahweh in this life through the development of a Christian vision.
