The EmancipatorCHATTING WITH GOD
When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees.
— Genesis 3:8
The mere reading of "chatting" immediately makes the subject of our topic appear odd to some. It's as if to say, "Who thinks of God, when talking about chatting?" Chatting commonly suggests informal communication, social media interactions and the like. But the truth of our life in Christ is that no matter how spiritual one might think of himself, if he is not chatting with God, he is entangled in a form of religion.
When God is still just a powerful, big, mysterious and far away person and not yet a Father with whom you can freely chat, then believe it or not you are caught up in religion. God created man for a natural Father-to-son fellowship of chatting, smiling, laughing and joyful communication. This is why He regularly came in when the cool evening breezes were blowing.
Whoops! Can you imagine how beautiful and pleasurable the fellowship with Yahweh was intended to be? Yea, and think no further, because Jesus the Christ, has brought all mankind back into this fellowship and has sent us to announce to the whole world (Colossians 1:21-22, 2 Corinthians 5:19, 1 John 1:3). Hallelujah!
Oh dear Father, You are amazingly beautiful to my entire being. I love You and enjoy Your sweet embrace forever in Jesus' Name.
