Truly, today's understanding of the good news of Jesus the Christ, is quite far from the scriptural and early Apostolic understanding. This has resulted in a narrow understanding of the Christian faith and its application to our lives today. As a result, the appreciation of human value in God's sight is grossly affected. This has led to a high degree of pessimism in life and such low self-esteem among sons of God that has resulted not only in the abdication of their royal life in this world, but also the inability to see the true value of others and to treat them like our Father. Despite all these, the good news is that you should not live like that because our verse today reveals that even before creating the world, God chose you to be His in Christ. Arise, cheer up! You are not an orphan here! You belong to God! Hallelujah!
Oh boy! I am so precious and valuable to God. Irrespective of how life has been so far, I am awake to the truth that I am God's forever.
