The EmancipatorMOVE FROM SALVATION TO KINGDOM
… who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.
— Colossians 1:13
The things we have discussed this week are obviously a bit high for the general Christian population if well understood. This is because of the salvation dominant theology in the Church. Salvation was a means not the end. The goal of salvation was the restoration of all things to where Yahweh planned from the beginning. What is that? It is kingdom. The universe was created as a domain for the human kind of kings, but they lost it. The goal of Jesus is to re-establish that kingdom. That is why the purpose of born again is not to go to heaven but to see the kingdom and experience (enter it) - John 3:3-5. Surely, the Holy Spirit will gradually move the Church from salvation to kingdom dominant theology and then many will appreciate real purpose and become positioned to enjoy life. That is why, Jesus indicated that it is the gospel of the kingdom that will mark the end of the age (Matthew 24:14). Selah!
Dear Father, my eyes are open to see that Your goal for my life is kingdom. I receive greater light to live and express Your kingdom in Jesus' Name.
