THE STANDARD IS CHRIST

Having realized how dangerous it is to accept a vision that is even just a little lower than that of Christ's, let us continue our Christian vision series this month by focusing on exactly what Yahweh our Father expects of the Church on earth. Contrary to the general notion of being humans who are saved by grace and awaiting to step into a certain state of perfection after death or when Jesus Christ comes, the scriptures are clear that the Father's vision of the Church is that we mature into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. This is not expected to happen in heaven but here on earth where He gave us gifts of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers to spiritually equip and build us up (Ephesians 4:11-12). A knowledge of the divinity of the Church would have known this vision as a matter of course because, in Christ, we are each nothing less than Christ in His full stature (1 John 4:17).
