The Emancipator

DON'T CONFUSE SIN WITH ITS FRUITS

SCRIPTUREKJV

Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit

Matthew 12:33

Mistaking the fruit of the state of sin for sin, has not only deprived many of the understanding of what sin is but also of the real redemptive work of Jesus Christ about sin. Acts of sin (works of the flesh) as listed in Galatians 5:19-21 and many more are often what people call sin. These are not sin but the fruits of a person in the state of sin. Since a person in the state of sin will commit acts of sin, the two can be used interchangeably but the difference must be well understood. When Adam wrongly saw himself and abdicated his royal place, all humanity started acting from the state of wrong personal judgment and that is the meaning of, "for all have sinned" in Romans 5:12. If you are in Ghana, you will eat Ghanaian food. If you judge yourself to be wrong, you will act wrongly. But the act is not the problem, it is the wrong self-opinion. When we take it up next month you will understand, what Jesus Christ really did on the cross.

Intercession

Oh God, that the body of Christ will awake to the meaning of sin and walk in our righteousness and liberate our world from the false power of sin in Jesus' Name.
