The Emancipator

FROM MOVIES TO THE WORD

SCRIPTUREKJV

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psalms 119:103

Do you find it easy to enjoy movies, newspapers and surfing the internet? Is social media more interesting to you than reading your Bible? Sister Joyce Dogli's (Ghana) remarkable transformation in this area is here.

"Before OGT, I was struggling with my relationship with my God, so I didn't understand the Bible either. Whenever I read it, there seemed to be no tangible impact in my life. As a result, I stayed for more than two years without opening my Bible to read. I had rather downloaded close to a hundred movies on my phone and watched them 24/7. When I finished watching one, I would delete it and replace it with another. There were instances that I had promptings to study the Word and so I would go for the Bible, open to read but did not understand what I read. There were occasions I would put the Bible under my pillow and sleep on it for days and months in the quest to develop taste for the Word, but it never worked. But through the OGT practices, I can now joyfully study the Word for at least an hour every day. I can consciously soak myself in the atmosphere of the Word. The Word is indeed active and alive. I have really developed a taste for the Word, so much that I can no longer miss a day without studying, listening and meditating on the Word even as the Holy Spirit ministers to me always through it."
