WHERE IS GOD IN THIS TERRIBLE WORLD?

I have, as a distant observer, perceived the depth of pain, sorrow, disappointment, frustration and hopelessness in the demeanor of people from all walks of life including those who say they believe in God. I hear the painful whisperings of their hearts, "Where is God at all?". It is legitimate according to their experiences. Our verse today is a typical illustration following the massive massacre of children in Israel by Herod. Then comes the most humanly troubling statement, "Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, …" (Matthew 2:17). We can ask a million questions from such an event. Same questions were asked about the holocaust by Nazi Germany, hurricanes, Covid "pandemic", religious terrorism in parts of the world etc. Should the world care to find a solution? Will there ever be one? Or should it just be accepted that humans are just a breed of victims in a meaningless universe without an owner? Let's see where it goes this week on the Good Life Devotion.
