The EmancipatorWHAT SHOULD I DO?
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
— John 6:28
At this point in our discussion this week, I perceive our hearts are asking, "If we have a say in what happens, and we are not to return to works, then what exactly is Daddy requiring of us?". Yes, it is true that life is neither an independence of Daddy nor a hopeless dependence on Him but a partnership. Our part in the partnership is to believe (John 6:29). Romans 10:10 tells us that belief is with the heart. So, this is it, "My son, give me thine heart, And let thine eyes observe my ways" (Proverbs 23:26). The key point of our discussion this week is to arrive at a place in life where you realize that Daddy has blessed you with everything and nothing can stop you from taking it and enjoying this life (Ephesians 1:3).
Dear Dad, I boldly declare that by my union with You, my heart is all Yours and now through Your Word, I am ever inclined to Your ways and thus I am effectively in partnership with You in life, Hallelujah!
